Pollarding

Pollarding is another key tree maintenance service that the team here at Stephen Paul Gardens can help with. Considered to be a more radical pruning technique, it is typically required if your tree has become far too large or unruly.

The process involves chopping off branches at the top of the tree to make it cleaner and less likely to cause problems in the future. Usually, arborists will conduct pollarding if a tree is located too close to a building and the branches are causing a problem. It is typically required in more urban areas, with our service available across Edinburgh, including in Colinton and Morningside.
